My Subculture and Postions

Dealing with the subculture of aquatics/swimming I may have some predisposed positions. The reason I decided to choose this subculture is because I have been and still am involved in the aquatic world. Listing any fixed positions that may influence my writing is difficult because age, race, nationality hardly define and limit someone researching the aquatic world. Though participating in the sport in the past is a definite advantage and is probably the most influential of my subjective positions. Other subjective positions I have not only include me being a former swimmer but also my current status of being an Aquatic major, dive coach, and IHSAA Swimming/Diving official. Though these positions influence my writing they should only drive me to understand more about the field in which I’m interested instead of deterring my research.
