Rhetoric W12

From what I've read so far rhetoric is the process of convincing or persuading someone else. Usually this process is done through writing. My definition of rhetoric is the art of persuading...okay that may be someonelse's definition but that's the one I like. Rhetoric can be classified by an amalgamation of things that would assist you in persuasion, for example dressing a certain way to get a response. Another example accents or dialects that people can use as methods of persuasions. The most common use of the word rhetoric that I entcounter is the word rhetorical. In regards to whether or not it hold a certain conotation I don't think it holds a postive or negative connotation. Its mostly neutral in my opinion. I'msure the word rhetoric coincidence with my subculture but not enough to talk about. Rhetoric is present everywhere but in the case of my subcuture it is very little. I will use rhetoric in my mini-ethnogrophy to persuade my readers of certain points.
